2022, Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard, CHASSAGNE-MONTRACHET, 1er Cru, 'La Grande Montagne'
$175
The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Grande Montagne 1er Cru has a slightly more tertiary bouquet, a little chalky in style and nicely focused. The palate is very tensile, with slightly more acidity than other cuvées, quite saline and certainly spicy towards the finish with a peppery aftertaste. There's a lot of "fun" in this "big mountain." 91 Neal Martin, Vinous (2023).
