2022, Domaine Pierre-Morey, BOURGOGNE, Aligoté

Bottled just before the harvest, the 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté has a delightful, slightly nutty, fumé bouquet that blossoms in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with fine weight, a texturally satisfying Aligoté that articulates the variety without inhibition. Gentle on the finish with tropical notes of guava and dried peaches. Aromas of green apple, pear, white flowers and struck match introduce the 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté, a medium-bodied, chalky and saline wine that was bottled earlier than usual, as Anne Morey needed the barrels for the 2023 crop. 88 William Kelley, Wine Advocate (2024).
