2022, Domaine A. -F. Gros, POMMARD, 1er Cru, 'Les Pezerolles'

Soft wood sets off a spicy array of plum, black cherry and a hint of humus. There is both good richness and vibrancy to the beautiful texture, caressing and sleek flavours that exude a subtle bead of minerality on the moderately compact, persistent and balanced finale. This needs better depth so a few years of keeping are advised and up to a decade should be better.

Medium deep crimson, lifted cherry notes along with a little more savoury touch, quite complex. Very good density behind and kicks on with racy fresh red fruit to a fine long finish. Drink from 2029-2036.
