Alsace
Located in northeastern France, Alsace is something of a hidden treasure, known for its aromatic, floral and spicy white wines. These white wines make up over 90% of the region’s production.

Situated in the foothills of the Vosges mountains, vineyards sit in a rain shadow, well exposed to the sun, which suits the region's slow ripening grape varieties. Key grape varieties include Riesling, Sylvaner, Gewurtztraminer and Pinot Gris.
Alsace – influenced by its promity to Germany – produces first class aromatic wines that epitomise their styles. Its bottles even share the same fluted shape. Ranging from Village to Grand Cru level (interestingly, the region doesn't boast a Premier Cru), these Alsatian white wines tend to have a dry finish, although we stock a selection of sweet finish Rieslings. Many of these are exclusively available to buy En-Primeur (buy ahead). We usually have the delicous crowd-pleaser, Domaine Muré Cremant d'Alsace on hand. This light, refreshing sparkling white wine is usually available in store as landed stock – ideal for easygoing celebrations.
