Guillaume d’Angerville, of the famed Marquis d’Angerville , first tasted Jura wine at a blind tasting in Paris and after exhaustive research he decided to embark on a line of Jura wines, purchasing vineyards from Jura wine ‘pope’ Jacques Puffeney. Stylistically Guillaume applies his Burgundian wine-making principles - that is, a non-oxidative approach (where the wine levels are kept topped-up rather than reduced under a layer of flor, exposing the juice to more oxygen) rather than the traditional Jura technique only.
