Maison Benjamin Leroux
Beaune, Bourgogne, France.
"There is serious quality throughout Benjamin's range from top to bottom." Neal Martin, Vinous.
Benjamin Leroux has successfully made his sought-after biodynamic wine since 2007. Benjamin Leroux is one of the new generation Burgundian winemakers who has made a big impression in a relatively short time. He worked as an apprentice at Comte Armand between 1990-92 while studying at the Lycee Viticole in Beaune, completed his oenology degree in Dijon, came to NZ and Oregon for experience before his first big job at Cos d'Estournel in Bordeaux. Benjamin has successfully made wine under his own name and negotiant label since 2007 after finishing up at Comte Armand - which makes 2018 is his 12th vintage. Benjamin's wines (which he makes from cellars based in Beaune) are very sought after due to their excellent quality, style and range - now with wines to suit just about every pocket and taste, from Bourgogne right up to Grand Cru and right across the Côte d'Or.
