" . . . A meticulous producer with fine, pure, precisely focussed wines of both colours." Jasper Morris MW
Makers of top-level Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet and Volnay
Didier Darviot learned the trade from his father-in-law Pierre Perrin who was a legendary winemaking figure in Meursault and Volnay. Didier's son, Pierre-Antonin, returned to take over the Domaine in 2019 after years working in the state department (foreign service) and obtained his diploma the viticultural school in Beaune.

The domaine comprises 9ha of incredibly old vines entirely owned by the Darviot-Perrin family and located in some of the most prestigious terroirs of Volnay, Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet. The majority of the plots come from strict massale selections created by Pierre Perrin which for the most part originate from the oldest plot La Bergerie (100 + years old). It seemed a logical step to head into (uncertified) organic viticulture and have now been for 25 years. The domaine will be officially certified organic from 2022. Lastly, in clement and dry vintages, fully biodynamic techniques are used.
