Bordeaux Left Bank
---------------
Situated on the west coast of France, the Médoc region or "Left Bank" (as familiarly named by English speakers) is named for its position on the left side of the Gironde estuary. It is home to some of the most famous sub-regions in Bordeaux including Pauillac, Margaux and St. Julien – with illustrious names such as Ch. Palmer, Ch. Mouton-Rothschild and prestigious Ch. Ducru-Beaucaillou and Ch. Léoville-Las-Cases.

However the reality is much more complex with the role of climate, technology, wine-maker and terroir. Winemaking styles exemplify a perfect tannic structure, balanced with high acidity, complexity, and can be extremely long-lived.
