2022, Domaine Lignier-Michelot, NUITS-SAINT-GEORGES, 1er Cru, 'Aux Murgers'

The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Murgey 1er Cru, containing 80% whole bunches, has a refined bouquet with raspberry and wild strawberry fruit laced with clove and light tea leaf aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip. It is quite strict and linear, with fine depth, perhaps requiring a little more complexity on the powdery, curry leaf-tinged finish, which does convey elegance and purity. Notes of red berries, cherries, orange zest and rose petals introduce the 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and perfumed wine that's supple and refined, concluding with a saline finish. 90-93 William Kelley, Wine Advocate (2024).
