2022, Domaine de Villaine, MERCUREY, 'Les Montots'

Domaine Notes: The palate deploys dense aromas of red fruits with powerful tannins softened by discreet oak. This gives it texture once again salivating making the wine supple and juicy at the same time. It needs time for everything to harmonise. Requires few years before it can be enjoyed in order to leave time for the wine to connect the Pinot Noir fruit with the expression of its terroir.

The 2022 Mercurey Les Montots has a fragrant bouquet of chalk-tinged red fruit, raspberry and cranberry, with a touch of smoke and undergrowth emerging with time. A light-framed Mercurey, the palate is medium-bodied and crisp, with tart red fruit and just a very small attenuation on the finish. Fine.
