Pitures is high up on the slope with lots of stones on a limestone base - next to D'Angerville's Clos des Ducs.
A cooler and attractively layered nose is comprised by notes of red pinot fruit, dark raspberry, spice and a hint of wet stone character that is picked by the succulent, round and seductively textured flavours that deliver fine length on the mineral-driven, palate coating and youthfully austere, even chalky, finish. Lovely.
