2023, Domaine Marquis d'Angerville, BOURGOGNE, 'Aligoté'
$52.90 inc. GST
The Marquis d'Angerville's spin on this "rising in popularity" grape. Dry, elegant and perfectly balanced. A great aperitif and very well priced.
Pale colour, a classical Aligoté bouquet with its slightly acrid grape skins. What has changed is the degree of flesh in the middle of the mouth and the ripeness of the finish. Some lemon and orange blossom notes are now more prevalent than lime. Otherwise, baked apple. In bottle. Drink from 2025-2028.

The 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté was bottled before the summer. It has a clean and focused nose. The palate is well balanced—here it actually does articulate the variety more fully, with hints of orange pith, tangerine and a subtle petroley note on the finish. Drink now and over the next two to three years.
