Bordeaux Blend: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec.
Juicy and vibrant, a real strawberry and raspberry tang to the palate with grippy, chalky, soft liquorice, chocolate and spiced tannins. Smooth and enjoyable, nicely presented with such ease of drinking - you don't feel they have overdone things at all. A lovely effort with succulence, grip, salty minerality, clearly ripe fruit but still with an appealing structure and tension. Great stuff. 94 Georgina Hindle, Decanter
93-94 James Suckling.
The 2022 Bouscaut rouge, a blend of 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Malbec, offers up aromas of cassis, liquorice, graphite and dark berries. It is concentrated and rich with a medium to full-bodied palate and a firm, typically Cabernet grip in the finish. This a great effort for this 55-hectare estate that's entering its second year of conversion to organic farming. 90-92 Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate.
