A serious Pomerol even in the lightest of vintages, so it really can relax into its natural character in 2022. Strict tannins, but that is often the case for this wine, relaxing into liquorice, cocoa bean, espresso, rosemary, underbrush, slightly drying on the finish, but this has a ton of impact, it has all the elements for ageing, an impressive wine. 94 Jane Anson.
A very juicy and nicely chewy young red with black berry, chocolate and cedar aromas and flavours. Medium-bodied with integrated tannins and a fresh and persistent finish. 95-96 James Suckling.
Unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark berries, liquorice, cherries and spices, the 2022 Gazin is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with excellent depth at the core, sweet tannins and a long, expansive finish. 92-94 William Kelley, Wine Advocate.
The 2022 Gazin has a ripe and generous bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit, touches of star anise and light floral scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and good depth. It's a muscular Gazin with grippy, tobacco-infused black fruit toward the finish. This is a solid and dense Pomerol that manages to retain freshness and delineation. It will certainly require time. Never underestimate Gazin! 91-93 Neal Martin, Vinous.
