Bordeaux Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot

Concentrated fruits on the nose and palate, lovely intensity of pure fruit - this has clarity and a juicy core. Feels a touch tannic right now, covering up some of the fruit, but the initial expression was really delightful and this should be nice once the tannins melt a little. Firm slightly drying tannins, grilled smoked leather, fleshy blackberry and raspberry fruit. The tannins close things in on the close of play, narrowing through the palate, emphasising bitter orange and saffron, with slate and liquorice. It's a well constructed wine with Left Bank signature. 33% new oak barrels for ageing. 92 Jane Anson.
