2023, Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard, CHASSAGNE-MONTRACHET, Rouge

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge has a well-defined, Pommard-like earthy bouquet that unfolds nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red and blue fruit tones. It's quite dense toward the finish and just needs a little more amplitude. 86-88 Neal Martin, Vinous (2024).

Nicely perfumed. Supple, fine clarity - and juicy in style, almost a little mineral. A very pretty wine - almost Bourgogne concentration but with a classier clarity and structure. Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report.
