2023, Domaine Henri Magnien, BOURGOGNE, Pinot Noir
$43.70 inc. GST
This comes from Brochon, the village adjoining Gevrey-Chambertin to the north. Colour is mid-deep ruby-purple, aromas are clean, open and fresh. Palate shows bright, ebullient fruit, with a gentle, fine finish (for drinking 2025-2027+).
Haynes Hanson & Clark, UK.
Ripe aromas of various dark berries and earth where the latter is picked up by the racy, delicious and intense middle wight flavours that possess good density while displaying solid length on the refreshing finale. This is very good for its level and worth a look. OUTSTANDING TOP VALUE.
87 Allen Meadows, Burghound.
The 2023 Bourgogne Côte d’Or has a pure bouquet with Morello cherries and crushed strawberry scents. The palate is balanced with a fleshy opening.
85 Neal Martin, Vinous.
