Lemon and lime in colour, with Baudines' usual rather aquiline approach in bouquet. Plenty of tension, a good concentration of fresh stone fruit, a light reduction behind, and enough fruit to cover the oak which one can currently detect at the finish. Quite muscular for Baudines. Drink from 2030-2035. Tasted Oct 2024. **** 91-93 Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy.
The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Baudines 1er Cru has a lovely bouquet with touches of passion fruit and lemon rind, boasting plenty of energy and fine delineation. The palate is well balanced with a rich core of tropical fruit that's completely counterbalanced by acidity. There is great weight and concentration on the finish. Excellent. 92-94 Neal Martin.
