Peter Maude Fine Wines
2022, Domaine Bruno Clair, MARSANNAY, 'Les Longeroies'
A fine and stylish ruby purple. Really perfumed. This is more in the tensile strength style. Still a pure raspberry fruit with an extra burst of slightly darker fruit at the back. Finishes very well. Impeccable pH. **** 90-92 Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
A super-fresh and exuberantly expressive nose combines notes of red currant, cherry and plenty of floral elements, especially violet. The attractively textured and moderately powerful medium-bodied flavours exude an almost aggressive minerality on the equally dusty, youthfully austere and precise finale that is presently quite compact so some patience should prove beneficial. 89-91 Burghound.
The 2022 Marsannay Les Longeroies is bright and tangy, exhibiting notes of red berries, orange zest and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, chalky and taut palate that will age with grace. 89-91 William Kelley, Wine Advocate.
