Light gold in appearance. A little closed on the nose during the time of tasting – hints of lemon zest, a little lavender. Tres légère, very elegant - mouth filling married with a feeling of lightness (attributed to the sand) Long length. Fresh, citrusy, honeyed. Katharine Maude 5/10/2023.
The Meursault Clos de la Velle kicks off with citrus flavors such as orange; yuzu and bergamot zest and then follows to more flinty, marine notes such as crushed seashells. The palate is round yet racy with notes of spice coming up (nutmeg)
