2022, Domaine Pierre-Morey, MEURSAULT, 'Les Tessons'

The 2022 Meursault Les Tessons comes from shallower soils than the Les Terres Blanches, roots hitting the limestone bedrock after 30 or 40cm. That "calcaire" comes through on the well-defined, minerally nose - not powerful but focused. The palate is well-balanced with a lightly spiced core, veins of stem ginger and lemongrass developing with time in the glass. 90-92 Neal Martin, Vinous (2023).

Wafting from the glass with notes of citrus oil, pear, green apple, white flowers and freshly baked bread, the 2022 Meursault Les Tessons is medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, with a layered core of fruit, bright acids and a long, minty finish. At this early stage, it's somewhat reminiscent of the domaine's 2017 vintage. 92-94 William Kelley, Wine Advocate (2024).
