Cropped at just 14hl/ha, the 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru easily has the best bouquet from Gouge's reds with a mixture of red and black fruit, sous-bois, pressed roses and just a smudge of liquorice. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins, a fine-boned structure with plenty of freshness and focus on the finish. There is a lot of substance here and as such, this will require 4-6 years to reach its drinking window. 93-95 Neal Martin, Vinous.
