The 2019 Pas de L'Ane has a fresh, floral and quite exuberant bouquet of red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit, plus touches of sous-bois and pencil box. The palate is medium-bodied and nicely proportioned, with pliant tannins, very well-integrated oak and a long, tender finish. This has turned into a fine Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. 92 Neal Martin, Vinous (2021).
