The 2021 Savigny-lès-Beaune Clos des Guettes 1er Cru, slightly less touched by the frost, feels a little under-nourished compared to Gros's other cuvées - lacks a bit of flesh. The palate is medium-bodied with brittle tannins: raspberry mixed with dark cherry and a liberal sprinkling of black pepper. Modest length.
