2022, Domaine du Pélican, ARBOIS, 'Trois Cépages'

This is the historic red cuvée from Domaine du Pélican. They have been producing it since their inaugural vintage, in 2012. The red grapes have been vinified together - Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard. 

Pale red almost translucent in colour.  Racy red berries, high acidity.  Needs some time to settle. This wine has always been a favourite, so no doubt will relax given a little time.

Mixing 60% Pinot Noir with 35% Trousseau and a splash of Poulsard, the 2022 Arbois Trois Cépages reveals bright red fruits, earthy characteristics and spicy subtleties. Soft tannins provide a gentle structure to this medium-bodied, harmonious red with decent concentration and moderate length. 89 Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous (2024).
