Macon
--------------
The Mâcon is a wine region in southern Burgundy nestled above Beaujolais. Known for its refreshing distinctive and rounded Mâconnais white wines, generally featuring crisp acidity, bright fruit, and floral aromas of broom, white roses, acacia, honeysuckle, and citrus. Full and smooth, they typically offer ample concentration and minerality, supported by enough acidity to recommend them for cellaring, such as 1er cru Château Fuissé. Chardonnay dominates, producing unoaked to carefully integrated oaked styles.
