Sauvignon Blanc
The main white grape of Bordeaux that is generally blended with Sémillon to make the dry whites of Graves. Often used to add acidity and its typical green character, notably its famous "grassiness".Also planted in the Loire Valley (Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé) and of course famously in New Zealand where it has adapted well to the maritime climate.
